Thank you!

Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone for celebrating the news of our little one with us! It has been so fun to share our great news with you (and watch and read your reactions and responses)! I haven't had the opportunity to sit down and write each one of you back, (taking LOTS of naps) so I thought I would answer some of the frequently asked questions on the blog. :)

1. Due date June 18, 2009! :)

2. How am I feeling... probably the same as most pregnant women in their first trimester, sleepy (hits in the afternoon around 1ish), nauseous, and occasionally (at least in my opinion) emotional. David might be the better one to ask about the latter. :)

3. Food aversions: Some of my favorites, fruits and veggies, are no longer appealing. I can manage do eat some "less offensive" fruits and veggies, but some just sound down right repulsive! (My formerly favorite Bartlet pears have now become "Barflet" pears. :)) Turkey sandwiches are my other "quease-iators." Haven't actually thrown up... just nice and nauseous! PS I chew spearmint gum religiously now as it helps my nausea! :)

4. Food cravings: peanut butter, hotdogs, fries and ketchup.... LOTS of ketchup. (How odd, I know!)

5. Will we be finding out the gender.... yes! (At the end of January.... not soon enough!)

6. Have we thought about names, yes... we've got boy and girl names chosen! And no,... we're not telling until baby is born.... I know, I know, I know.... it's horrible to not know, isn't it? :)

Rambling for the day:
The reality of this baby's presence is still something I think we're both trying to grasp. Going to our midwife's office on Wednesday was definitely a big step in coming to grips. It was amazing to see the tiny profile of our unborn baby! Very distinctly baby! His/her heart beating as fast as could be! Before the appointment, I had even thought about taking one more pregnancy test just to be sure, but after that amazing view, I think we can be sure it's not a stomach bug I've caught!

We feel so privileged to be entrusted this new little life and spirit! We can't wait to meet this unique individual that our Father is stitching together as you read. We can't wait to discover who he/she is!

Much love to all of you,

April (& David) and our "Frijolito" ("Little Bean")
